Information about Temecula, California

To the north and east of Temecula and south of the new Diamond Lake and Dam there are hundreds of miles of open range, low hills, earthquakes faults zones, box canyons and small lakes. Ramona, Palomar Mt and the Julian area are to the south of the city boundaries. In this area you will find the new wineries of the French Valley and Lake Skinner. To the east of Temecula you will find the new community of Vail Lake, and area of thousands of orange, lemon and grapefruit trees. Also in this area is the old communities of Rancho California, Lake Riverside, Warner Springs, and farther out east the Anza Borrego Desert State Park where highway 78 leads down to the southern Imperial Valley and the Salton Sea, Redhill and the US Naval Weapons Center. The city is bordered on the west by Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base and the Cleveland National Forest.
