Photography at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga
What to know before you take pictures or go on a Photoshoot at Victoria Gardens
Today for the first time in nearly 25 years I went out on a photo shoot with my new Nikon D5100. I did not have a lot of time and didn't want to stray too far from home so I took a quick trip down to Victoria Gardens before it opened and got crowded. I had only been there about 15 minutes and was already heading back to my car when a Segway-riding security guard swooped in and informed me that to take pictures on Victoria Gardens property I first needed a Media Permit. So if you plan on taking any pictures in Victoria Gardens be sure to make a trip to the Managment Office in the Town Square area (2nd floor) and request your media permit.
If you plan on sticking it to 'the man' and taking pictures without a permit and you get caught, before you cause a scene spouting off about your Constitituanal rights to take pictures in public, remember that Victoria Gardens is private property and they have a right to throw you out or have you arrested for trespassing. And also remember that Victoria Gardens has it's own Rancho Cucamonga Police substation full of police more than capable tossing you out.
Before I was shut down by the fuzz, I was able to get a few decent pictures:
