Tio's Mexican Food - Alta Loma
Submitted by iedude on Fri, 12/19/2008 - 1:20pm
Almost hidden from view, Tio's Mexican Food in Alta Loma is one of those little "hole in the wall" restaurants that is easy to miss. Snuggled away behind the gas-station and next to the liquor store, you've probably driven past it a dozen times and never even noticed it (if you frequent the Haven / Lemon Ave area).
Good food, low, LOW prices.
The food at Tio's is good. Some even call it great. But the best thing about Tio's is it's low prices. Boasting all of the standard mexican-food fare, the most expensive item on the menu is only $7.50 - for the Carne Asada dinner wich comes with rice and beans. Most other dinners are $6 or less and many Al La Carte items are $3 or less.
Tio's Mexican Food is located at 10451 Lemon Avenue, Suite B - Rancho Cucamonga. Parking is shared with the surrounding businesses and because of how popular Tio's is, you may have to park in the next lot (near Dominos Pizza). Tio's also offers call-in take out. The phone number is (909) 948-6940
Hours (as of Winter 2008)

The best and creamiest refried beans, hands down.
Tio's - Alta Loma
We just ate here for the first time a few days ago. The food was not bad (the guacamole was not real), but it certainly was not great either. Considering the price, I would have to say it was worth it and we will go back again.

You have to play tag team to get a table. One of you goes and orders while the other goes and gets the table. Great mexican food, homemade chips and salsa. The best.
