This gastronomical hot spot, tucked inside the posh, newly renovated Lake Arrowhead Resort on Highway 189, serves scrumptious gourmet cuisine that's not haughty......Many of the dishes start as all-American favorites that the executive chef imbues with fresh and intriguing ingredients and seasonings. And the Resort, has been made into a overnight or weekend lovers retreat.....for instance.....After a night of gourmet dinning you can arrange what the resort refers to as "the Dirty Weekend".....This is a room intended for two, to indulge in a night of sensuous delights....Citrus scented candles, massage oils and bath bombs await you in your room....Also provided are Tequila, lime wedges, a shaker and shot glasses and a special dessert.....A little pot of Dark chocolate with brushes ample enough for a full body paint or just a few dabs, and upon request a special bottle of lemon flavored whipped topping....also included is a digital camera for your discreet use or own peril....After a night of quite reflections a meal is served in your room with Bloody Mary's exactly the way you like them....All of this must be booked at least 12 hours before your visit and you must call for pricing.

Lake Arrowhead is a small unincorporated community in the San Bernardino National Forest that offers a cool alternative to the smog and haze that covers the San Bernardino Region in the summer time, and in the winter time, those who like the cold snowy Mountains can always find a Château, or Condo for rent hidden away in the forests.....The Lake itself is man made and is about 800 square acres big.
Today, The UCLA Conference Center, a full-service conference facility with lodging and meeting space is located on the north side of the Lake....They also have summer and winter guest cottages for those who wish to spend the week or weekend on the mountain.
Remember Santa's Village, a fairyland setting where Santa's gnomes, elves and little animal friends make up a children's and grownups' paradise the year round.....It had a Lake Arrowhead address but was actually located on the Rim of the World Highway at Rim forest.....I can remember one time my mom and dad came nd got both myself and my sister out of school, on a cold rainy day and with our neighbors and there kids, we all headed up to Santa Village in a very heavy snowstorm....We were the only people there and had what rides were open to ourselves....We all had colds the following weekend.....Santa's Village opened in 1955 and closed 1998, shortly after I took my nieces out of school and took them to the Village, but it was a nice warm day, and the place was packed.
The Ace of Spades: AKA Arrowhead
Submitted by Ghostpainter on Tue, 04/24/2007 - 5:01pm
The Mormons called it 'The Ace Of Spades'
We know it by another name...."Arrowhead"
The well known landmark the Mormons called "The Ace of Spades" and better known today as the Arrowhead, was visible long ago, even to the first Spanish Missionaries, who believed it was a sign from God.....The Cahuilla's Indians were well aware of the natural sign on the lower slops of the Foothills just to the north of the current city of San Bernardino, because they used the springs located at the base of the 'Arrowhead ' to heal wounds and just sit in it....Lets face it, they used the Springs as a spa.....They called the place "Arrowhead"....the name we use today to name the mark, the springs, and a bottled Water Company.
