Senor Agave, a new Mexican Restaurant up and coming.....

with a past to over come....

For several years the residents here in the park and surrounding neighborhoods fought to get the established Restaurant in the strip mall closed or at least modified. I wont mention its name because it is a part of a well known restaurant chane. Needless to say after a year of fighting with the city and the restaurant, they couldn't meet the stringent standards of being a restaurant and they were forced out and to relocate to an area of the city that better suits a Cantina than a restaurant.

A new restaurant soon announced plans to move in with a full food menu and a full bar.

But because of the problems with the previous occupant, a liquor license was denied by the city. But as luck would prove out, I and most of the residents who had opposed the previous occupant signed on to the New restaurant after we were invited in to the new establishment to see that it was indeed a restaurant and I am happy we did. So far Senor Agave has proving itself a good neighbor and an excellent establishment to eat.

Senor Agave is an exciting restaurant that blends the radiant flavors and handcrafted care of traditional Mexican cuisine with a contemporary sophistication and polish of the Inland Empire. they feature an exciting tequila bar which boast fine Agave tequilas, a separate adobe colored dining room, and dynamic contemporary architecture, that blends in with the cities historical background.

The menu at Senor Agave features a wide array of great selections, made from only the freshest and highest quality ingredients, with something sure to please every member of your group. Senor Agave has established itself as one of the area's favorite culinary destinations and is sure to offer you a pleasant and unique dining experience every time you visit.

Most recently I enjoyed there Chili Rejeno dinner combination which consisted of a cheese enchilada with a deep flavored red sauce over Provolone and japena chesses. Excellent!

And previous to this weekends visit I dinned on what I think is perhaps the best Chili Colorado that will give other established named Mexican restaurants a run for there money. Served in a red chili sauce with refried beans (Black beans upon request) Mexican style loose rice, flour tortillas, and taco chips.

Another excellent dish and we left the feeling full, relaxed and with that warm feeling good food will give you.

We ate breakfast there once and I found that my favorite was on the menu. Chorizo. I asked if I could have potatoes added to the plate and they say no problem. For those of you who don't know what Chorizo is it is pork and beef meats mixed in chili's and onions and rolled like a sausage. It is cut up and fried with eggs, chili's and potatoes served with flour tortillas and coffee and tea. An excellent meal to start the day.

So!, if you want excellent food, served in a warm atmosphere, with people who know how to make you happy, you must visit Senor Agave, (Which Means Mr Worm) They have a full bar, a party room which can be reserved in advance, sports bar with plenty of TV's to keep track of the nights sporting events, and the dress is casual.

Monday 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Tuesday 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM Wednesday 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Thursday 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM Friday 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM Saturday 08:00 AM - 11:00 PM and Sunday 08:00 AM - 10:00 PM.
