National Guard deployed to watch over Ontario International Airport

ONTARIO - National Guard troops arrived at Ontario International Airport on Friday, providing an additional layer of security at the airport just days after an apparent terror attack was thwarted in Britain.

The 30 troops will help screen passengers and baggage as well as provide security throughout the airport's property, said Capt. Jeremy Johnson, of the 1st Squadron, 18th Cavalry Regiment out of Ontario.
