Vince's Spaghetti

It has been over 55 years since Vincent Cuccia and his two brothers first opened Vince's Restaurant in Ontario, California.

By Ghostpainter

Built on Holt Boulevard near the corner of Mountain Avenue, the original Vince's was a six-stool, open-air roadside stand which put to good use the acres and acres of orange groves that comprised Ontario in the middle 1940's. Along with orange juice, Vince's originally served a French Dip Sandwich, based on an Au Jus recipe created by Vince's mother.

In the Late 70's Vinces two Brothers decided to split and open additional Restaurants.

When Vinces finally opened here in Rancho Cucamonga, there were long lines outside waiting for the doors to open...I know, I was standing in line with my Mom and Dad, and several other Family members, all eager to get inside and eat our favorite meals. I remember having two Beef French Dip Sandwiches. Makes my mouth water even now as I write this.

Today the Rancho Cucamonga Vinces serves about 3 tons of
spaghetti per week.

Vince, Louise, and Bill have all since passed away, but DeeDee, with her partner Gregg Parras, continues to own and operate all the restaurants with her father's enthusiasm, vision, and of course, the family recipes!

You will find cousins, aunts and uncles all still working at Vinces and some of the servers and cooks have been working for the family for over 30 years.

Re: Vince's Spaghetti

I grew up in the Upland area and Vince's was a weekly staple in our family for the 40 years I lived there. To this day when I go back home to visit family or friends I buy several quarts of Vince's sauce - FREEZE THEM then bring them home in my suitcase! LOVE it and nothing compares.

Re: Vince's Spaghetti

I remember back in the 50's when I was just a kid my mom and dad and all my 6 brothers and sisters would all go out to Vincent's on a Friday night. This place brings back so many great memories for me. I was born and raised in Ontario, so Vincent's was like a second home and I went to Chaffey High with the Cuccia's also.
It's still the best spagetti/ravioli and sauce in the WORLD!

Re: Vince's Spaghetti

You would think if he had been going there for so long, that he would know the name is Vince's and not Vincent's. Duh!!!
