Submitted by Ghostpainter on Sun, 09/16/2007 - 4:14pm
Looking for a place the whole family can enjoy, in the day time as well into the wee hours of the night as long as the kids can stay awake. Well, have you ever been to
Scandia in Ontario? Scandia is the family destination for fun in the sun and playing or screaming to your hearts desire as the night wears on.. Scandia might be the place just for you.
If running with the kids tires you out you can send them out into the night while you relax at one of two restaurants at Scandias. The Scandia Grill and Olga's Kitchen offer some good food and a place for you to either feed the whole family or relax and kick you heels up while the kids troop on.
To keep the whole family entertained right up until closing time at 1:am in the morning, Scandia's at Ontario offers up the Stockholm Raceway the features full sized mini bumper racers that do about 30 mph around the track, and rides like Olga's Tilt-A-Whirl, Thor's Hammer, and of course the ultimate thrill ride of the park, the Scandia Screamer Coaster which seems like its going to toss you out over the southbound 15 freeway. Additionally there are two beautifully landscaped Scandinavian themed miniature golf courses to test the mettle of even the best of miniature golf players.
The Park employees plant over 12,000 flowers annually amongst several rushing rivers, trickling streams, and cascading waterfalls that seem to line all of the race tracks and other rides and attractions.. The main Game room offers over 150 of the latest State of the Art Video and Redemption Games!.. Batting cages include 8 Fast Pitch cages from 25 to 70 mph!, and seven slow pitch softball cages!.. There is even one slow pitch cage and a fast cage that lets you try to hit 55 mph fast pitch softball's.
Behind the Scandia Grill there is a huge picnic area that seats over 200 people and a Pavilion that seats up to 300 people who want to just sit back and watch the action.
And coming up for Halloween, they are having one of the largest haunted houses in the inland empire. At first it will only be open on September 24th and the 25th, then it will be open from the 24th of October to the 31st.. this will be the 14 th year that they have had the haunted house and this year they plan on making it bigger, badder and really scary.. This year, they are having return visits from Mad Butcher Bob, The Rat Lady and this year special guest ghouls, The Michael Twins.
Call Scandia's at 909-390-3092 for the latest rates and holiday specials.. They are located On the right side of I-15 between the 10 & 60 Freeways.. Get off at Jurupa, make a right, and a right again on Wanamaker.. You can't miss Scandia's, but if you need the address it is located at 1155. S. Wanamaker Ave in Ontario.
