I never have understood what happened to cause the long gone Bloomington Unified School District to merge with The Colton Joint Unified School District.

If anyone has information on when and how it happened I'd be interested, also I attended classes at Bloomington Jr. High in the 1960s in a classroom across from the current Bloomington Middle School Campus (it was on the same side as the San Bernardino County Natural History Museum).

Banyan Elementary School in Alta Loma is running a toy drive for Steven's Hope until December 7 2011.

If you donate a toy you will get a free kid's meal at the Old Spaghetti Factory and you will get a Bulldog Buck! You can donate a toy by leaving it in one of the donation boxes in the school office and in every pod.

All toys go to Steven's hope which is a great charity helping families with hospitalized children.

We need new items that we can give to the kids as prizes for the talent show---new skateboards, new snowboards, new ipods, gift certificates, celebrity items--signed sports items by celebrity sports figures, tickets to amusement parks, Laker seats, Kings seats, Dodger seats, new basketball, new football, new Juicy purse, new Juicy jewelry, new Coach purse, new makeup set---anything that teens would like!
