Can Anyone Tell Me About The Merger of the Bloomington Unified School Dist to Colton Schools?
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 12/19/2011 - 6:14am
I never have understood what happened to cause the long gone Bloomington Unified School District to merge with The Colton Joint Unified School District.
If anyone has information on when and how it happened I'd be interested, also I attended classes at Bloomington Jr. High in the 1960s in a classroom across from the current Bloomington Middle School Campus (it was on the same side as the San Bernardino County Natural History Museum).
Strawberry Fields Forever....

In Rancho Cucamonga politics, it is never wise to assume that just because the city council approves a project, that it will ever be built.....I have seen that many times before....It wasn't to long ago that right here at the Pines Mobile Home Park signs were posted in the vacant field adjacent to the park that indicated that over 385 Condos were going to be built....I and several other chairman's got together and killed that deal.....Seems someone forgot that you cant build anything on Foothill that is more than two stories high in a residential area.....We reminded the city council of that.
A few months ago, the city council voted to approve a large project on the corner of Foothill and Grove, on a patch of land that has been owned by the San Antonio Hospital since time immortal....it was always thought that a medical center of some sort would be built on the corner, but year after year, the field remained a large strawberry field.....after all, most residents always assumed that something would be built there, just not what was approved by the city council.

Measure 1 Street Projects in the Inland Empire Your Tax Dollars at Work
Submitted by Ghostpainter on Thu, 07/27/2006 - 5:02pm
In addition to freeway projects, Measure I provides funds for major street improvements throughout the San Bernardino Valley. These funds are used for major rehabilitation, construction or reconstruction of main thoroughfares, also called arterial streets. A Measure I Arterial Program Five Year Plan is adopted each year to allocate funds for these streets.
