Night of Lights at Mammoth...

With gas prices once more down into resonalble rates those far away Christmas events now are within a days drive. One of the best is Mammoths Night of Lights.
Mammoth Mountain Ski Area is getting ready for the return of the Night of Lights event at Canyon Lodge on Saturday, December 20, 2008. The Night of Lights celebrates the magic of the holiday season with a winter lights show against the majestic backdrop of Mammoth's ski slopes. Guests of all ages will be invited to ride the complimentary Village Gondola to Canyon Lodge where they can enjoy a fun filled night complete with a firework show, torchlight parade, Red Bull Air Force skydivers and live music by Pinback.
Night of Lights is really a thank you from Mammoth Mountain to their guests. It's a free evening of entertainment for all ages celebrating the snow and the magic of winter."
Originating nearly two decades ago, Night of Lights began as an annual celebration of winter in Mammoth Lakes. Saturday, December 20, 2008 All Day – Family Events/Activities (Village at Mammoth) 5pm – Festivities and food concessions open (Canyon Lodge) Live music by Runner Runner Red Bull Air Force Torchlight Parade Fireworks Live music by Pinback 10pm – Last gondola down to the Village All Events are subject to change due to snow and raod conditions.
